Programs

JAZZ BRIDGE OPERATES TWO PROGRAMS…
Consistent with our hybrid mission: To help jazz and blues musicians in crisis, and to provide them with paid gigs that will also build awareness of the Philadelphia-area jazz sound.

CRISIS ASSISTANCE FOR JAZZ MUSICIANS
Over the years, Jazz Bridge has confidentially helped more than 200 local jazz and blues musicians and singers with varied needs – medical, dental, legal, advocacy, home repairs, unpaid bills, and instrument repair. In addition to serving as a safety net, Jazz Bridge connects these performers to other available resources.

Each request for help is evaluated on a case-by-case basis. For several years, Jazz Bridge has been able to offer a Dental Assistance program for older musicians funded by Delta Dental Foundation.
