As you probably know, I’m the director of Instrumental Music at Samuel Fels High School in the Northeast Section of Philadelphia. We have an awesome music program that keeps growing, but unfortunately, our school does not have the funds to cover the various costs of the music program. Each year I have the pleasure of starting around 120 beginners who flourish in our program. Up until now students have been sharing instruments and doing everything we can to stay afloat. Our program is now too big for our resources. Your donations will go to instrument repair costs, new instruments, sheet music, or to help fund any performance opportunities for the students! In our school district, we are only able to buy from specific vendors which makes the costs of instruments not affordable. If I was able to buy used instruments from facebook marketplace or other shops I would be able to have an instrument for every student! Anything helps! I’m starting the goal at $1000, but I truly need as much money as possible since instruments are not cheap. If you can’t donate then please share!! I can accept instrument donations too!
